Olga at London Fashion Week

er Styles Rocker: (enthuses, breathlessly) You are super lucky to be rocking that raucous London Fashion Week fedora; what a STUPENDOUS gift from the atelier, stylish and edgy, the aesthetic boasts a striking resemblance to Paramore Misery Business. It is far too stunning. Oh my gosh! That's the definition of perfection. Which self-respecting stylist extraordinaire could resit falling in love with that fine gem. Heaven is missing this fine specimen! It can plant itself in my fedora collection, any day, all day. If it was a cell, I wouldn't want it to be replaced. NO other cell could take its place

... LFW SS17 AW16
Impulsy: Don’t get so excited. What you are saying makes NO sense. Wait…It MAKES sense
The fashionista extraordinaire walking the sidewalk at London Fashion Week is Olga from Russia. Currently a fashion intern, she previously studied at the prestigious University of the Arts London. Imitate her inimitable style by matching a runway fedora by Topshop with Valentin Yudashkin jeans, Artur Lomakin sweater and The Row bag.

er Styles Rocker: Your London Fashion Week outfit look so cool, chic and surreally stylish. We are LITERALLY immersed and impressed with this creation. I am in LOVE with that fedora hat, it is so so crazily hot. That’s a fedora I would LITERALLY go for, honestly. This fertile spot in the dessert has stolen a, erm, spot in my heart! Oh my gosh! It’s such a sartorial wonder!!...

(taxi passes, noisily)

er Styles Rocker: …Can you, please  tell me the inspiration for the sprezzatura aesthetic you are unveling at London Fashion Week?

Olga: erm. I was just inspired by the 60’ and 70’s, so I just got those wide-legged jeans. This is…bag that I bought recently

er Styles Rocker: What bag is it, please?

Olga: Coach Ellie

er Styles Rocker: It’s a beautiful handbag. I LOVE the bold silhouette, the understated yet strong and appealing hue.

Olga: Thank you

er Styles Rocker: It’s quite minimal and oozes inordinate flair. That jumper! Or is it a sweater?

Olga: The jumper is from a Russian brand

er Styles Rocker: What’s the name of the Russian brand?

Olga: It’s called Alena Phillieo

er Styles Rocker: An you spell it out for me, please

Olga: That’s Alena Phillieo (spells) A, L, E, N, A…

er Styles Rocker: Yeah

Olga: .P, H, I, L, L, I, E, O

er Styles Rocker: The slouch aesthetic is immersive; I LOVE it. It’s quire pared back and minimal; quite effortless -  and, erm, flair.

Olga: (smiles, thinly)

er Styles Rocker: Oh my gosh! That fedora. What fashion house is the designer?

Olga: Just Topshop

er Styles Rocker: No wonder! It’s a pulsating as the Rainbow, I Surrender. What do you LOVE about fedoras?

Olga: I just think it goes so well with all the outfits.

er Styles Rocker: And how many do you possess?

Olga: About six

er Styles Rocker: Why do you have so many?

Olga: They are different colors, different (touches fedora, proudly) kind of shades

er Styles Rocker: Shape is EVERYTHING! So you team these fedoras with different elements and different colours, separates that you are wearing

Olga: Sorry

er Styles Rocker: Because you match your different colour fedora hats with different…

Olga:…yes…

er Styles Rocker: …elements that you are wearing

Olga: (nods)

er Styles Rocker: Charming! What do you LOVE about London Fashion Week?

Olga: (gushes) It’s just so many (emphatically) people you can meet here and everyone looks stylish, just the whole atmosphere, and the shows (catwalks) are amazing, OF COURSE. I have been to a few today. People in the industry are here. Things are happening. It’s just AMAZING.

er Styles Rocker: Yeah.

Olga: And…It’s AMAZING!

er Styles Rocker: What shows have you seen today?

Olga: I have been to Mary Katrantzou, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi , Anya Hindmarch

er Styles Rocker: Wow! And which showcase was your ultimate object of desire?

Olga: I would say Anya Hindmarch

er Styles Rocker: Why?

Olga: Just the way it was all done…like the moving platform…the way the models came out walking and the styles were amazing, of course. It was emotional; it left an impression on me.

er Styles Rocker: Excellent! Where are you from, incidentally?

Olga: I’m Russian!

er Styles Rocker: We LOVE Russia.

Olga: (smiles)]

er Styles Rocker: Have you been to Moscow Fashion Week?

Olga: Yes! (nods, smilingly) I have.

er Styles Rocker: How would you compare that showcase with its London counterpart; London Fashion Week?

Olga: London is way busier, way bigger brands, more people and it is kind of more prestige, London Fashion Week is really easy to...(speech drowns out by sidewalk din) Yeah, Moscow Fashion Week is not so big and it’s not so…(traffic noise) but I like it.

er Styles Rocker: Amazing! Is there someone in Russia whose style you admire?

OLGA: Erm. I think…

er Styles Rocker: spell it out for me please.

OLGA: M I R A D E M A

er Styles Rocker: What does she do? Who is she?

OLGA: She is running 24/7. It’s like a website for fashion….

er Styles Rocker: How do you define her style?

OLGA: Her style?

er Styles Rocker: Yeah. You said that her style inspires you, right?

OLGA: Yes. I wouldn’t say I’m particularly inspired by someone. There are people who I like; the way the dress. But I wear what I like. I wear something when I want to wear it. It’s not that I’m taking inspiration from another person.

er Styles Rocker: Your style is effortless and it’s very immersive. Your creativity is in clear evidence. Clearly, you have your own styling ideas and innovation, We really appreciate you sharing your style with Sidewalk Darlings, today, at London Fashion Week

OLGA: Okay

er Styles Rocker: Before you walk the sidewalk, may we have your permission to publish this  video and our youtube show called Sidewalk Darlings

OLGA: Yes.

er Styles Rocker: Thank you so much. Your attire looks immersive. Have a nice day!

Intan's Alexander McQueen bomber jacket

ACTUALLY, Intan was satisfied with his previous bomber jacket. It was great. He really loved it. However, when he first saw this kick-ass Alexander McQueen bomber jacket, pictured, he helplessly fell in love. It's the ultimate, deluxe dream jacket. ONE that's not exactly warm but it's ultra edgy, classic and modern. It does the trick. It's on other guys' wish list...for the next lifetime, BUT it's now a firm fixture in Intan's burgeoning spring wardrobe. THIS, will last a lifetime.

There is nothing better. It's breathtaking...so sweet.  It has a nice touch - like his bed. Already, he can sense the palpable jealousy from the sidewalk diaspora.

True Religion roxanna fittted vest

BETTE rocks an attractive pair of True Religion roxanna fittted vest. WOW! Other pedestrians are perceptibly jealous. Justin and his sidewalk duds's hearts stop. Speechless, they, ASTONISHINGLY, manage to take a picture. ..No wonder the brand is so popular. That vest will be in everyone's dream tonight. It got to be number 1 on the attractive list. It's one of the few brands that make men lust after women's clothes, and women lust after men's clothes. Just saying.

Yapping and Snapping - North Face jacket

FASHION mad Justin and his sidewalk duds, Kristen and Kate pull aside an accommodating pedestrian, RICKY, who dons the most desireable jacket. Typically, Kristen and Kate do ALL the snapping whereas, Justin, who wears a super cute Calvin Klein jacket, do MOST of the yapping.

JUSTIN
(gushes)

Since I first noticed EVERYONE on the sidewalk wearing this jacket, I have been searching EVERYWHERE for it, but to no avail. I love it. I'm ready to throw away ALL my rent money on it.

KATE
(roll eyes)

Oh boy!

Kristen
(to Ricky)

I understand how he feels..Where the hell can he buy it? Who the hell design it?

RICKY

It's a North Face jacket...It's REALLY nice and warm..It's not big, and it does'nt make you look big..You can wear something or NOTHING beneath it, so it's excellent for warmer temperatures....For your information, it will be in the sidewalk sale...up to 75% off...

JUSTIN

.....GREAT!

MALE

...in the new year.

KRISTEN

This a FARCE!

JUSTIN

In the new year? What? I want this jacket for christmas, so BADLY.. I don't care that EVERYONE has it..By the way, what make you think I can't afford it NOW.

MALE

Well, I don't supposed you lot make much - just snapping passers'-by outfits and yapping with them. I admire your passion though...

ASANTE wears clothes inside out

BUNCH of girls roller-blade on the sidewalk, singing opera songs. Passers-by glare at them in utter bemusement. In Asante's expert opinion, the style zealot of the bunch is Claire; the girl singing soprano. She wears her psychedelic print dress inside out. ASANTE trips over a sidewalk bench owing to his fix gaze on her attire.

Asante (showing off inner stitchings on H  M inside out sweatshirt)

NEXT DAY ASANTE AND HIS CHUM, LINDSAY, STRUTS DOWN THE SIDEWALK

LINDSAY: (laughs)

Do you like dressing in the dark? Or did you dress in HASTE? Or did you spill something nasty on the outside of your clothes?

ASANTE:

I wonder why you asking such stupid questions.

LINDSAY:

Well, I noticed you've been wearing your clothes inside out recently. Today is no exception. This is funny....

ASANTE:

You TURD. Why didn't you tell me this before?

LINDSAY:

Sorry. I meant to bring it to your attention, I just forgot. Better late than never. No wonder pedestrians have been giving us funny looks

ASANTE:

Who cares!

LINDSAY:

I do

ASANTE:

I don't. In fact, I think it's FUN to wear my clothes like this

LINDSAY:

Don't mess with me. You can't be serious

...........................................................................................................

ASANTE TOLD LINDSAY ABOUT CLAIRE; THE SOPRANO WHO INSPIRED HIS LATEST SIDEWALK LOOK

LINDSAY: (incredulously)

Chum, you are crazy. Honeslty, I think you're taking this Sidewalk Looks too far. What will you think of next? wearing your clothes BACKWARDS?....Here. (hands jacket) WEAR it over your shirt NOW.

ASANTE:

What for?

LINDSAY:

Lots of people are here for the sidewalk sale, they will laugh at us if they see you wearing your clothes like that. You must hide those stitchings

ASANTE:

I'm proud to show off this look, so keep your jacket. If you're so worried about making a fool of yourself, then jog on. Real talk

LINDSAY:

I'm trying to help you, so don't be rude

ASANTE:

You're either gonna continue support me on this project or NOT...My only regret is that the seams and stitchings on my clothes are not more noticeable. UGH!

LINDSAY:

Stop this crazy thing chum. Are you on drugs or something?

ASANTE:

Wishing you could pull of this unique look?

LINDSAY:

This look is WEIRD, not unique

ASANTE:

 Whatever!
How many times have I seen you with your clothes inside-out, yet I still stood by you

LINDSAY:

Nothing wrong if I wear my pyjamas inside out. I was in my own private home. The difference is, you are on a PUBLIC sidewalk. Don't ever think these people will fail to notice how RIDICULOUS your clothes look, just because they are busy searching for bargains. If no one talks to us today, you'll be the reason.

ASANTE:

Whatever...Only last saturday, a jogger pointed out that your sweatshirt was inside out. Have you forgotten that already? I happen to like my clothes inside out, okay?

LINDSAY:

Atleast, I had an excuse....Don't you realize how gross you look wearing your clothes like that. UGH

.
ASANTE:

..an excuse? You should be ashamed of even mentioning 'an excuse.' I'm sure everyone will prefer to see me wearing my clothes inside out....SOBER...than you doing the same but DRUNK as hell...And what about the time you were spotted on the sidewalk in two different shoes? One black, one brown....

LINDSAY: (laughs)

.....I must admit, that was hilarious

ASANTE: (joins in laughter)

It's good when you can laugh at yourself sometimes. Life is too short to take things so seriously. Trust me, wearing your clothes inside out is FUN

.........................................................................................................................
Lindsay (before turning jacket inside out)

LINDSAY:

So are you telling me that you saw this (indicating a finger) ONE girl wearing her clothes inside out, and that inspired you to follow?

ASANTE:

Actually, I did spot some pedestrians doing the same thing, but I thought it was madness. However, this girl made the look, look so cool and on trend, I couldn't resist. You should try it sometimes.

LINDSAY:

I don't know

ASANTE:

Tell me something. Do you wash your clothes inside out?

LINDSAY:

Yes. Why?

Same here. However, beforeI do my laundary,  I don't have to go through the trouble of turning each piece of clothing inside out, because I was wearing them inside out already

LINDSAY:

I see.

..................................................................................................................................

LINDSAY:

I normally fold my washed clothes inside out

ASANTE:

If you wear them inside out, you wont have to turn them inside out again. Besides, when you wear your clothes inside out, you get double value for money, if you know what I mean

LINDSAY:

You mean I get more wears out of them. I never thought of that

ASANTE:

And if you ever discover your clothes is inside out after buttoning up, don't worry. Go about your business without correcting it. It's funny, but it's fun

Are you tryin to make a fool out of me?

ASANTE:

Hell no! I just want you to join the style party....Another reason why you might fancy inside out dressing is, the brand label will be increasingly visible....

.....Really. This is sounding better by the minute. You should have said that in the begining

ASANTE:

I know....I know how much you like to show off your brand of clothing

Indeed. I must admit I admire your smart genes

ASANTE:

Thanks...By the way, if you can't be bothered to turn your clothes inside out every time, you can always pick up clothing at H & M and TopMan with the stitchings on the outside. In fact, my current attire is from H & M. My Fearsome and Handsome collection needs a few more similar pieces, so lets stop on the way.

You mean even the stores are into this trend?

Yes. Well, I don't know if it's officially a trend, but I do know that,  these stores are cottoning on in the name of profit. You should cotton on in the name of Sidewalk Looks
on the way to H & M and Topman to help Lindsay find some inside out clothing

red and black fashion

BOYS honk car horn at drop-dead gorgeous Randy sashaying down the sidewalk as if she owns it. Lloyd looks instantly inspired by her iridescent attire; black cigarette trousers teamed with a slim belt and candy floss pink blouse. Clearly, she's not just a doddery fashionista.

The mesmerized boys drive straight into the back of a police car. Lloyd burst into laughter.

SHOCK GASPS FROM ONLOOKERS.

Randy chuckles as police remonstrate with the driver of the car. She seems fun as well, Lloyd thinks.

LLOYD ACCOSTS THE FASHIONISTA

LLOYD:

OH MY GOSH! I Like your look.

Randy: (giggles)

LOOKS run in my family

LLOYD: (laughs)

I wish I was fast enough to catch it...Actually, I'm referring to your clothes; YOU ambassador for chic sidewalk looks. You are ready for both London fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week

Randy:

Oh! You like my look? That is sweet, thanks. It came out of the blue...Please don't copy it. I don't want us to be seen on the sidewalk wearing the same outfit. People might think I copy your style. Ugh!

LLOYD:

Sorry.

Randy:

It will be embarrassing for you, NOT ME! (stamps off) Get some originality, you copy cat! I hate when someone copy what i wear. UGH!

DISAPPROVING GROANS FROM PASSER-BYS

LLOYD:

To hell with individuality. I don't care about being different. if you have NEVER recreated someone else's style on the sidewalk, then you have every right to judge me. Otherwise go about your business, and stop staring at me. GRRR!

He dashes off to the nearest shopping mall.
