The Sidewalk Boutique's sales - Review

The Sidewalk Boutique's sales had everything for the even the most discerning fashionista; BIG bargains and BIG brands. Berlusconi, aka the sidewalk playboy, was broke but, LUCKILY, he decided to check it out, nonetheless. Few hours later, he exited with his fashion friends, Raven and De Vera, more broke than before but with biker jackets, a bad-ass suit and tie from ASOS and Monsoon, respectively, and a authentic Lanvin dress originally priced at £2500. Wow! Needless to say, It was the sale of the season. The fashion friends had a ball, even the window shopper, Raven. There was no better place to do holiday AND Africa Fashion Week shopping, especially if you left it too late or if you have shallow pockets. detail shots Next time, go to other sales, you'll find a few things, but if you come to the Sidewalk Boutique's sales, you'll be spoilt for choice. Time for some detail shots at Africa Fashion Week. The Sidewalk Boutique's sales was a sale, not a dream. .......................... words by Zokaya Kamara Follow us https://twitter.com/zokayakamara please LIKE and share this page https://www.facebook.com/TheSidewalkDarlings/ please FOLLOW http://allthatrageseries.blogspot.com

London Fashion Week - day 3

ON THIRD day of London Fashion Week, show-goers, sorry, sidewalk fashion icons, continued to flaunt some fiercely cool looks. Naturally, they were closely followed by fashion editors and sidewalk looks' photographers. If you had an unsuccessful shopping spree, which stressed you even more, about what outfit to wear, take note, you could learn a few style tips here.

A shopping spree to find the perfect outfit for London Fashion fatigued LIGUE, stupendously. Luckily she found these real gems to wear, so it was worth it after all. She outshone many show-goers who dressed  in top brands.
This is London Fashion Week; dressing up is essential, especially in one of her best outfits. No doubt, she looked in the mirror before she headed out to London Fashion Week. We are not gonna lie, only a sartorial aestheticaian, like her could pull off this efortless toned up look. This is a fashion statement, we'd be devastated to miss. The look from the back is equally amazing. It's clear, she inspired Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and the others to experiment with bold hair colours. On the other hand, inspired by her idols' looks, she designed this ensemble herself. She did not raid her granny's wardrobe.

Zokaya Kamara flounced in Who's Who knitted sweater, HTC jeans, Blue Inc scarf and denim sneaker

{PHOTOGRAPHERS AND FASHION EDITORS HAD THEIR SAY}

OSCARS

I love this look!! Very keen on wearing it, if I could. Most definitely. It is that awesome. The fact that it's impossible to have it, just ruin my day.

MALI

so sweet...but I wouldn't wear it. The scarf looks cheap.

Zokaya

It IS cheap.

MONIKA

The sweater looks cheap; it is boring and ugly... You could have found a better sweater for London Fashion Week.

 KASIA
superstar outfit. sweet like an opera! If you don't mind, trust me, I refuse to leave London Fashion Week without even one photograph of your outfit.
PARK
It's a very beautiful, daring outfit. It's impossible to admire it without drooling. Allow me to take a awesome shot of it.

KEI
Nice pair of jeans. I like it.  I personally think it's GORGEOUS! It looks ginormous but I still love it.
We liked the clothes, especially the Orvis handbag and the Jimmy Choo shoes. It's quite a fashion show, outside the official London Fashion Week! Anna's look belonged in fashion magazines. Her dress, hair and make up, constitute perfection, sophistication and elegance

{ALL photography by Kate and Kristen. Write up by Zokaya}

Perry's form fitting CLICK suit looked quite sharp. Take our word for it.

Not many fashionista can get away with bold, retina-burning, canary yellow. However, Katy did it in this gorgeous, movie-star, Versace dress, with aplomb. we were impressed and thrilled. She could show up at London Fashion Week in a mushroom dress and still make it look great.  Yellow is awesome. The dress looks even greater from the back. Just saying

Ninja bought himself an exquisite Mr Start badass suit.

Jennifer's Donna Karan cute, swing dress generated as much buzz as the Oscar's red carpet prima donnas, undoubtedly will. We love the color. A powerful moment for a normal girl.

Brandi sparkled in a cute, Monsoon gold-embellished blouse and a statement coat from Mint Velvet. Awesome. This look was simply gorgeous

ERIN sparkled in this beautiful Joe Browns Vintage faux fur coat.

ASANTE wears clothes inside out

BUNCH of girls roller-blade on the sidewalk, singing opera songs. Passers-by glare at them in utter bemusement. In Asante's expert opinion, the style zealot of the bunch is Claire; the girl singing soprano. She wears her psychedelic print dress inside out. ASANTE trips over a sidewalk bench owing to his fix gaze on her attire.

Asante (showing off inner stitchings on H  M inside out sweatshirt)

NEXT DAY ASANTE AND HIS CHUM, LINDSAY, STRUTS DOWN THE SIDEWALK

LINDSAY: (laughs)

Do you like dressing in the dark? Or did you dress in HASTE? Or did you spill something nasty on the outside of your clothes?

ASANTE:

I wonder why you asking such stupid questions.

LINDSAY:

Well, I noticed you've been wearing your clothes inside out recently. Today is no exception. This is funny....

ASANTE:

You TURD. Why didn't you tell me this before?

LINDSAY:

Sorry. I meant to bring it to your attention, I just forgot. Better late than never. No wonder pedestrians have been giving us funny looks

ASANTE:

Who cares!

LINDSAY:

I do

ASANTE:

I don't. In fact, I think it's FUN to wear my clothes like this

LINDSAY:

Don't mess with me. You can't be serious

...........................................................................................................

ASANTE TOLD LINDSAY ABOUT CLAIRE; THE SOPRANO WHO INSPIRED HIS LATEST SIDEWALK LOOK

LINDSAY: (incredulously)

Chum, you are crazy. Honeslty, I think you're taking this Sidewalk Looks too far. What will you think of next? wearing your clothes BACKWARDS?....Here. (hands jacket) WEAR it over your shirt NOW.

ASANTE:

What for?

LINDSAY:

Lots of people are here for the sidewalk sale, they will laugh at us if they see you wearing your clothes like that. You must hide those stitchings

ASANTE:

I'm proud to show off this look, so keep your jacket. If you're so worried about making a fool of yourself, then jog on. Real talk

LINDSAY:

I'm trying to help you, so don't be rude

ASANTE:

You're either gonna continue support me on this project or NOT...My only regret is that the seams and stitchings on my clothes are not more noticeable. UGH!

LINDSAY:

Stop this crazy thing chum. Are you on drugs or something?

ASANTE:

Wishing you could pull of this unique look?

LINDSAY:

This look is WEIRD, not unique

ASANTE:

 Whatever!
How many times have I seen you with your clothes inside-out, yet I still stood by you

LINDSAY:

Nothing wrong if I wear my pyjamas inside out. I was in my own private home. The difference is, you are on a PUBLIC sidewalk. Don't ever think these people will fail to notice how RIDICULOUS your clothes look, just because they are busy searching for bargains. If no one talks to us today, you'll be the reason.

ASANTE:

Whatever...Only last saturday, a jogger pointed out that your sweatshirt was inside out. Have you forgotten that already? I happen to like my clothes inside out, okay?

LINDSAY:

Atleast, I had an excuse....Don't you realize how gross you look wearing your clothes like that. UGH

.
ASANTE:

..an excuse? You should be ashamed of even mentioning 'an excuse.' I'm sure everyone will prefer to see me wearing my clothes inside out....SOBER...than you doing the same but DRUNK as hell...And what about the time you were spotted on the sidewalk in two different shoes? One black, one brown....

LINDSAY: (laughs)

.....I must admit, that was hilarious

ASANTE: (joins in laughter)

It's good when you can laugh at yourself sometimes. Life is too short to take things so seriously. Trust me, wearing your clothes inside out is FUN

.........................................................................................................................
Lindsay (before turning jacket inside out)

LINDSAY:

So are you telling me that you saw this (indicating a finger) ONE girl wearing her clothes inside out, and that inspired you to follow?

ASANTE:

Actually, I did spot some pedestrians doing the same thing, but I thought it was madness. However, this girl made the look, look so cool and on trend, I couldn't resist. You should try it sometimes.

LINDSAY:

I don't know

ASANTE:

Tell me something. Do you wash your clothes inside out?

LINDSAY:

Yes. Why?

Same here. However, beforeI do my laundary,  I don't have to go through the trouble of turning each piece of clothing inside out, because I was wearing them inside out already

LINDSAY:

I see.

..................................................................................................................................

LINDSAY:

I normally fold my washed clothes inside out

ASANTE:

If you wear them inside out, you wont have to turn them inside out again. Besides, when you wear your clothes inside out, you get double value for money, if you know what I mean

LINDSAY:

You mean I get more wears out of them. I never thought of that

ASANTE:

And if you ever discover your clothes is inside out after buttoning up, don't worry. Go about your business without correcting it. It's funny, but it's fun

Are you tryin to make a fool out of me?

ASANTE:

Hell no! I just want you to join the style party....Another reason why you might fancy inside out dressing is, the brand label will be increasingly visible....

.....Really. This is sounding better by the minute. You should have said that in the begining

ASANTE:

I know....I know how much you like to show off your brand of clothing

Indeed. I must admit I admire your smart genes

ASANTE:

Thanks...By the way, if you can't be bothered to turn your clothes inside out every time, you can always pick up clothing at H & M and TopMan with the stitchings on the outside. In fact, my current attire is from H & M. My Fearsome and Handsome collection needs a few more similar pieces, so lets stop on the way.

You mean even the stores are into this trend?

Yes. Well, I don't know if it's officially a trend, but I do know that,  these stores are cottoning on in the name of profit. You should cotton on in the name of Sidewalk Looks
on the way to H & M and Topman to help Lindsay find some inside out clothing

DIANE VON FURSTENBERG teaming with Gap kids

GOK,why are kids pouring off the sidewalk into Gap Kids? DIANE VON FURSTENBERG LAUNCHES HER FIRST GAP KIDS' COLLECTION TODAY. Oh! So who are thoze DARN lemmings hanging around the kids? Ryan, THOSE ARE THE PARENTS.

RYAN:

OH MY GOSH! You did'nt hear the news?

GOK:

I did hear the news but NOTHING about DIANE VON FURSTENBERG partnering with Gap.

She is my favorite designer

Mine also.

I did'nt know that

I TOLD YOU

I must have forgotten,sorry

I'll reprimand you later. Lets stop and have a look.

I'd love to see what's on offer, but we can't stop now. We're already running late because you were walking too slow.

Come on.

And even if we stop, there is nothing in the collection for adults....only KIDS! That's discrimination.

Promise you'll keep this secret

What secret?

I once recreated a style I spotted on the sidewalk - from Gap kids.

You devil! How did you manage to fit into kids clothes?

I bought the outfit in XL. Come on, I'll help you find clothes from the collection that will fit you.

THEY PUSH THEIR WAY INTO THE STORE

I'm in!

So am I

I guess it's time to say bye bye to a large portion of my savings

Lucky you. I have no savings. Good thing I brought my credit card.

THEY LAUGH

The range looks rather exclusive. The prints and colours are adorable

(gasps) Ahhhhh!

Stop it! You'll embarass me

I can't help it. How is it possible for some people to dislike GAP? I'm a BIG aficionada of Gap clothes. BIG! I've been sporting trendy gap clothes from I was a toddler and as an adult, I'm still doing it.

Today, I'd like to re-join

Well, you're in the right place...with the right friend.

THEY WANDER AROUND

I'd kill for this wrap dresses I found for my little sister. I only hope she'll like it.

It's lovely. She'll adore it!

I know but like me, she prefers to wear imitations of what she see other kids wearing on the sidewalk.

You're a bad influence on her. she just might make an exception fort this beautiful number...Aren't you jealous you can't wear it.

Damn right! No Diane Von for me. I'll just have to stick to wearing topshop ensembles.

What do you think about this(holds up pink and green dress)

It's cute, but you'll need to get it in XL. This is too small for you

It's for my niece, NOT ME!

How are you gonna explain to  your nephew why you bought nothing for him?

How are you gonna explain to your little BROTHER?

HEADING THROUGH THE DOOR

RYAN:

Quite an impressive range of clothing. Unfortunate it's for girls only.

GOK:

That's discrimination...against boys.

I'm so upset.

Look on the bright side. You get to keep your savings, and I keep my credit

You're right. DId you see the price tags?

Sure. They have those 'look but don't touch prices.'

Indeed.

Great design and quality though.

Indeed. By the way, did you know DIANE VON FURSTENBERG was born in the same year as my grandmother?

Maybe. Did you tell me before?

Showcasing red and black outfit on sidewalk

NUMBERLESS motorists and pedestrians will watch Kevin parade the first outfit from his Fearsome and Handsome collection. It will not be the first thyme he's strutting on the sidewalk, and he will be doing so for a mere 9 minutes. Nevertheless, he is as trepidatious as hell.

BOBBY:

Stop PREENING on the sidewalk. People are watching.

KEVIN:

Let them watch. I have to ensure these clothes look good, so leave me alone.

BOBBY:

And what the hell is that? tuck the t shirt in the jeans

KEVIN:

You're not my dad!

BOBBY:

Thank God, I'm only your uncle. I said TUCK IN YOUR T SHIRT

KEVIN:

Youre not my lecturer...Look how many other pedestrians going about their business without tucking in their shirts. UGH!

BOBBY:

OKAY! If you wanna look like a damn tool on the sidewalk. That's your damn business.

KEVIN:

I'm just walking on a sidewalk NOT trying to get into a damn club

BOBBY:

If the shirt, especially a black one, has buttons all the way down, then you MUST TUCK IN at all times. Got that?

KEVIN:

Yes. But everyone can see that I'm wearing a RED t shirt, not a black one.

BOBBY:

Tucking also help in disguising a voluptuous waistline.

KEVIN:

Are you calling me fat?

BOBBY:

hELL NO. Just voluptuous.

LAUGHTER

KEVIN:

Whatever!  How about tucking in my shirt, zip me up and buttoning my trousers?

                                                            KEVIN AND HIS CHUM COTTON

KEVIN:

I paid only 25% of the original prices for these clothing.

Cotton:

Are you serious? How come?

KEVIN:

The shop assistant offer me discounts on the sales prices.

Cotton:

You are so lucky. I think she loves you.

KEVIN:

Who could blame her?

LAUGHTER

Cotton:

Anyway, it's very cold on the sidewalk, you'll need a coat.

KEVIN:

I'll be fine

Cotton:

Are you crazy? You'll freeze to death.

KEVIN:

What would you say about the hundreds of  half-naked shoppers queueing up in front of Top Shop for free clothes?

Cotton:

No!

KEVIN:

GO SEE FOR YOURSELF! They are blocking the whole sidewalk. Two hundred metres from here.

Cotton:

So it's looks above practicality! What is the world coming to?

KEVIN:

I wish I knew.

KEVIN IS ACCOSTED BY JOGGER, Derek, WHO SLOWS DOWN FOR A CHAT

DEREK:

Hey! your red and black clothes look familiar.

EVERYONE GASPS

KEVIN:

They are mine! Are you insinuating that I stole them?

DEREK:

Are you in Simon Cowell's RED OR BLACK show?

KEVIN:

(stutters) I..I..I AM

CHEERS AND APPLAUSE

KEVIN:

In fact, I'm just walking to the studio to shoot an audience scene. So, if you'll excuse me

APPLAUSE

BOBBY:

Okay, if you want others to see your gucci belt, you MUST tuck in the front of your t shirt

PASSER BY:

Sorry to interrupt. You look is just fine. I admire a man who knows when not to tuck his T shirt in his jeans. The outfit looks so good, it needs no jewellery to jazz it up. Good for you.

KEVIN:

Thank you!

BOBBY:

It is NOT a good look.

KEVIN:

Well, I think it looks just fine. I am not going to a job interview or or to some fancy place with strict dress code. They make me tuck my shirt in at work. I hate that SO MUCH.

BOBBY:

That tight jeans looks are so wrong. Aren't you afraid it will show up your backside too much?

KEVIN:

Will you ever stop? GRRR!

PASSERBY:

It's better for a guy to wear tight jeans than having his trousers falling off his backside, showing his under-pants...Give me a guy in baggy jeans anytime

BOBBY:

Teaming those together do not look good. If you had paired them with some jewellery, the outfit would have have looked more original and chic.

KEVIN:

Shut up! What does minnows like you know about sidewalk looks?

BOBBY:

Are you gonna tweeze your eyebrows as well?

KEVIN:

You have distracted me for 8 minutes. Thanks for the support 'uncle'. I would like to finish th last minute on my own, if you don't mind.

BOBBY:

I was leaving for the London Fashion Week show, anyway. GOODBYE!
