Kamiylah at London Fashion Week (AW16)

Mr er, Styles, UltrA: (gushes, er, rhythmically) That Fedora! Does it look ultra exciting right now? OmgYes! The most marvellous fedora hat, EVER. A winning accessory. Spotting a fedora at London fashion week is an experience of a lifetime, but spotting this one is extraordinarily special; a dream, a thought. Such brilliance! Do you have style icon? ‎LFW ‎aw16 SS16 https://www.facebook.com/TheSidewalkDarlings
The Fashion Week fashionista walking the sidewalk at London Fashion Week is Kamiylah, Stylist and Personal Shopper at Selfridges. Steal her functional yet uber chic aesthetic by coupling a statement fedora by French Connection with American Apparel leggings, ALDO shoes, H&M cropped top, and Topshop jacket. On the other hand, London Fashion Week cheerleader, Mr, er, is self-styled in his typical VINTAGE, model fedora (boutique in China) which he teams with Ciao Italy tailored coat, vintage waistcoat, Melka sweater, Blue Inc scarf and Trussardi classic, formal shirt.
Mr er, Styles UltrA: outfit looks SUPER amazing today. This London Fashion Week outfit rocks. Someone, give this stylist a styling deal, PLEASE. I just LOVE London Fashion Week. You know what I love about it. It's super rare - it's staged only twice for the year. Each year, I look forward to this sartorial showcase, so much, and when it finally comes, I'm especially elated, when it leaves, I get seriously deflated I just want to slap its derrière and say see you next year.
KAMIYLAH: Thank you.
Mr er, Styles, UltrA: I'd really really would like to know the inspiration behind this, er, divine aesthetic.
KAMIYLAH: Erm. I LOVE fur. This (touches fur jacket) is a piece which I had for awhile. It's VERY vibrant. The hat (felt fedora) I have a collection coming out at the end of the year. SO this is something which inspires me, which I wear all the time. I really like fedora fedora hats. So - good stuff!
Mr er, Styles, UltrA: Every element looks gorgeous in its own right. I absolutely love every element you you skilfully incorporated in his beautiful ensemble.
KAMIYLAH: Thank you
Mr er, Styles, UltrA: Speak a little louder for me, please. Okay?
KAMIYLAH: (murmurs agreement)
Mr er, Styles UltrA: What do you LIKE bout London Fashion Week?
KAMIYLAH: Everything! To see people; their styles, see them in their elements...Everyone has his/her own creativity....You get to know all the current trends, past trends...
Mr er, Styles UltrA: You seem t be deeply knowledgeable about fashion and London Fashion Week...
KAMIYLAH: ...Yes...
Mr er, Styles UltrA: What do you, do by the way?
KAMIYLAH: I'm a Stylist and Personal Shopper...(passing traffic drowns out her speech)
Mr er, Styles UltrA: (groans, apologetically) Sorry. Owing to that RACKET just now, I didn't not hear a word of what you said
KAMIYLAH: (laughs)
Mr er, Styles UltrA: Sorry about that. So please explain again what you do please.
KAMIYLAH: What was the question again?
Mr er, Styles UltrA: What do you do?
KAMIYLAH: I'm a stylist and Personal Shopper. I have my own business at the moment; with my own clientèle I am a Personal Shopper in Selfriges. My collection will be coming out later this year and I'm REALLY looking forward to it.
Mr er, Styles UltrA: Stylish! Enterprising! Oh brilliance! I bet you have other sartorial talents hiding. I wish you all the best in your future endeavours...How do you define your personal style?
KAMIYLAH: ...My personal style (ruminates) I'd say it's VERY unique. In the sense that it's a mix of what I like. And it kind of represent myself....
Mr er, Styles UltrA: So what elements of clothing or accessories would make up your signature aesthetic?
KAMIYLAH: I DON'T; I honestly do not like accessories. I do wear earrings, bracelets and hats; mostly fedora hats. That's as far as I'd go. And I prefer jackets...
Mr er, Styles UltrA:...Cool! So what do you LIKE about fedoras?
KAMIYLAH: I like that they can complete not only a high fashion outfit, but you can wear them with high-street also.
Mr er, Styles UltrA: What's not to love! This one that you are rocking now, really ROCKS. It's the most AMAZING fedora hat I have spotted at London Fashion Week, so far
KAMIYLAH: (laughs, appreciatively)
Mr er, Styles UltrA: I ADORE the two-tone color palette (black and red)...The whole design, the WHOLE silhouette; simply, er, revealing, revelling, APPEALING. Like you, I LOVE fedoras also, so I appreciate how you team it with these other STRIKING, stand-out elements...What fashion labels are you rocking, incidentally?
KAMIYLAH: They are actually ALL High-street brands
Mr er, Styles UltrA: Really! Actually, they boast the charm, appeal and aesthetic of high fashion...
KAMIYLAH: I'm wearing ALDO shoes....
Mr er, Styles UltrA: ...Like my Beb Sherman rogues, sorry I meant brogues, those footwear are simply shimmering; the emanating beauty makes me shiver....
KAMIYLAH: American Apparel leggings, H&M top, Topshop jacket...
Mr er, Styles UltrA: Oh my. That outerwear is super psychedelic. It oozes pure magic; it's mysterious like, er, electric. I must admit, that I want it
KAMIYLAH: ...and....
mr Styles, er, UltrA: Last but definitely NOT least, instead, it's the ultimate best, the undisputed greatest, you save the best for last....
KAMIYLAH:...French Connection hat...

Mr er, Styles UltrA:...That Fedora! Does it look ultra exciting right now? OmgYes! The most marvellous fedora hat, EVER. A winning accessory. Spotting a fedora at fashion week is an experience of a lifetime, but spotting this one is extraordinarily special; a dream, a thought. Such brilliance! Do you have style icon, incidentally?
Erm. (thinks) I DON'T actually look to any style icon....
Mr er, Styles UltrA:...So when you plan this outfit, did you look for inspiration from among the trends that are currently in in vogue now or in the AW16 season
KAMIYLAH: I don't actually....Today is very cold, so I'm wearing something warm....
Mr er, Styles UltrA:....Functionality over style...I adopt that style - super rarely....
KAMIYLAH:...I dont go by present season. I go by what I feel that day. What I want to wear that day....
Mr er, Styles UltrA:....Needless to say, the style that you are feeling today has made my day; In fact, it takes my breath awayl. Doubleness, I'm utterly speechless; I have no clue what else to say. Please, er, stay!
KAMIYLAH:...(concludes her styling) what I want to wear, what I can coordinate, the type of coordination
. Whether it#'';s a cropped top or high-waisted....
Mr er, Styles UltrA:....So far, your styling is on par, on point. I mean, the colour scheme, the textures, every aspect of this attire is so, er, on pint. I'm totally in love with the mind-blowing aesthetic.
KAMIYLAH: Thank you
Mr er, Styles UltrA: Before you walk the sidewalk, may we have your permission to publish this video on our youtube show called Sideweaqlk Darlings?
KAMIYLAH: That's fine.

Selfridges denim studio

EVERYONE adores denim, so do the fashion-effervescent Eyeball Licking, aka the sidewalk playboy, and his sidewalk friends; Aimeee - photographer, and Mr PSCO - wardrobe stylist. Selfridges adores denim also, it seems. Its recently-launched DENIM STUDIO is exclusively dedicated to denim; from premium designer brands to Primark. Over 11,000 pairs, from over 50 brands, are on display.

PERSONAL SHOPPER, KIM: (one of hundreds milling about)

Welcome to the Denim Studio. How may I help you?

Eyeball Licking

WOW! This denim studio looks SICK.

WENDI

I have ALWAYS struggled to find the perfect pair of jeans....

KIM

(smiles)

Struggle no more. Selfridges understands its customers' specific needs. That's why we open the world's largest denim department - just to help you

................................................................................

PRINTKLEIDER

I'm so excited.....7 For All Mankind, Rag and Bone, J Brand....

ELENA

....er, Primark, Topshop...My head is spinning out of control. I don't know where to start

PRINTKLEIDER

Primark in Selfridges? What the HELL!

KIM

There is something for everyone. However, if you are not keen on that Primark denim for £11.00, this premium pair is yours for a meagre £11,000

TAMARA

WHAT? £11,000?

KIM

Have a good look at it. While you are doing so, eyeball this J Brand denim with bright 24K gold plated details. This is something a woman should definitley wear, when she's alive.

You joking?

.............................................................

CRISTIAN

NO way! Only YESTERDAY, I wished there was a store that help its customers find denim with the perfect fit.

KIM

SELFRIDGES read your mind and answer your wish

CRISTIAN

That's nice....I'm warming to the £11,000 pair of denim

Aimeee

Try it on, then I'll take a photo of you in it.

CRISTIAN

Oh my gosh! I LOVE it! I'm so DENIM-STRUCK right now

KIM

it Looks GREAT.....How does it feel?

CRISTIAN

SH*t. It does'nt fit. It pains me I wont be able to wear it - even ONCE..Oh No! What am I gonna wear to London Collection: Men?

Eyeball Licking

Africa fashion Week London

AFTER walking a marathon on the sidewalk, empiricist pedestrian, Ennis, coercively extricate himself from the tedium of the olympics, on TV, to walk in "Africa" Fashion "Week", being held on the "3rd and 4th" of August, in "London." Moore than 50 deep-rooted designers, such as Lagerfield, sorry, no Lagerfield, and emerging ones, will showcase their prim collections.

ENNIS walks at event in Topman T shirt, Zara shorts and belt from Esprit

[EARLIER, ENNIS LOOKED FOR AN OUTFIT IN PRIMARK TO WEAR TO LONDON'S BIGGEST EVER AFRICAN FASHION EVENT.]

Till Operator: (to couple)

Would you like a bag?

POSH:

No thanks, we have our own bag. (customers in queue gasped as she took out a SELFRIDGES' bag.

Irate Customer:

That's out of order!

POSH:

I'd die if other pedestrians see me on the sidewalk with a damn Primark bag. Ugh!

Her partner nodded in agreement, "she would.!

But you are wearing Primark clothes now

If it were'nt for Primark, you'd be NAKED now

POSH:

You'll be astonished at the stupendous number of looks you get for carrying a primark bag on the sidewalk.

I think you are far too posh for Primark, so if I were you I'd get the hell out. NOW!

.....................................................................
NEW LOCH:

Where will the show be held? In SPitalfield market, near Liverpool street?

ENNIS:(in disgust)

Who told you? Yes!

New Loch:

I'll be there then.

You know this is a once a year event, so who will you be taking with you, your girlfriend?

Who told you? Yes! Joking, I'll take my mother. She's into current trends

That's lovely.

So how did you hear about Africa Fashion week

In Metro

Ahhh! Shame.

And you?

ENNIS:

Through my sidewalk fashion network

...................................
Shortly after patrons arrived, Ennis could hardly find anywhere to stand, let alone, walk

Ennis overheard a disgruntled patron muttering about paying £7 for his ticket but was unable to get a guaranteed seat. Seats were reserved for VIPs and industry bigwigs . He stormed out expeditiously, ranting.

FIELD:(on blackberry)

I miss you too, but I can't leave now. The show is about to start. I'll catch the first available flight later.

[Listened]

Field: I saw Blake backstage....I could'nt believe it....No, I did'nt get the chance to greet him though. He was quite busy working. I can tell his debut will be a success.

[listened]

Field: Don't feel bad about missing the show. You did the right thing in concentrating and doing what you had to do before sunset for sabbath hour.

............................................................
Ennis could not resist this bewitching pair of hoops on the Afrocessories stall.

....................................................................

When the Presenter introduced Adebayo Jones, instead of saying 'Adebayo is known for dressing some of the world's top celebrities', he said, 'Adebayo is known for dressing some of the world's top designers.'

The audience erupted.

..............................

Pippa stretched and yawned throughout the female models' presentation. However, she perked up when the first male model came out, "TAKE IT OFF." (referring to his shirt)

.....................................................................................................

REPORTER:

You were on intern for the show, how was the experience?

TRACK:

Awesome! Excited to see the stuffs, sorry, the collections.....The team work very hard to make the show a success. I look forward to be a part of it next year. I invited my friend Oscar, and he enjoyed the show a great deal, tell her Oscar.

OSCAR:

What an amazing show! It was wonderful to see african fashion on London's catwalks. I loved it. When the show ended, I just wanted to see more. A great turn-out, and I'm sure next will be even greater.

Oscar attracted alot of media attention. "Africa Is The Future" was emblazoned on his T shirt.

Tinie Tempah launches Disturbing London at Selfridges

STYLE CHAMELEON, Chelsea has the physiognomy to wear any of the striking pieces in Tinie Tempa's Disturbing London range. Consequently, finding himself with a spare £2700, he turns up at the launch of the range at Selfridges. Like Tinie,  Chelsea  actually kepe some clothes at his aunt's house. He lives with her, you see. His Fearsome and Handsome collection is crying out for some new and different pieces to jazz it up.
Chelsea parades on sidewalk facing Selfridges in H & M top and FCUK  jeans

As usual,  Chelsea 's cash-strapped chum,  Perry, tagged along behind, but was forced to return home prematurely. He admitted he did not notice the glass door at the entrance was unopened, so he walked straight into it. Luckily, he managed to lose only a front tooth. He wasn't gonna buy anything away, he just wanted to have a look

SECURITY, CARRIE: (to Chelsea)

Is he okay? How can we help?

CHELSEA: (annoyance in tone)

May I have the direction to the Trafford Centre? I can't wait any longer to see what the range look like. He's fine, by the way. (dashes towards escalators)

PERRY:

Wait for me.... I wanna talk to you

CHELSEA:

You just lost a tooth, how can you talk to me? Call your girlfriend so she can pick you up

I wanna talk to you

You've been saying that to me all the week, yet you said nothing even though you had your full set of teeth.

Please!

Now is not the time...I got Disturbing London clothes on my mind

.........................................................................................................

TRAFFORD CENTER

Louis: (gushes)

WOW! I love these clothes; they are o scool

Suggs:

Pretty decent range, if you ask me.

Meanwhile Chelsea tries on Black Tea Cup hooded sweatshirt. The shop assistant nods in approval when he comes out of the Fitting Room. 'It looks alright', she beams.

Alright? I change my mind then

Sorry, I mean it looks very good

Got you! I was gonna take it anyway, because I believe I look fantastic in it

She smiles

Chelsea grabs T shirts and few more of the hooded sweatshirts.

Man: (rants on phone)

I think Tinie Tempah was inspired by that 17 year old rapper from the US...What's his name?....Never mind....There is nothing distinctive about the clothes. They are not in Selfridges league, I honestly believe they are more appropriate for New Look or H & M...Taking all that into consideration, I can't understand whey they are so damn expensive. UGH!

Kevin:

I beg to defer. This collection looks amazing so it will do wonders for Selfridge's overall sales

(laughs loudly) Get lost! You chat pure nonsense. And get your own style. I can tell you're trying to clown Tinie Tempah's style.

Whatever!  You accuse Tinie of copying Diggy Simmons' eponymous collection, now you're accusing me of Copying Tinie's style....UGH!

..................................................................................................

Mariano:

Excuse me!

Shop Assistant:

Yes

Mariano

I can't seem to find the collection's women's pieces

The Disturbing London's collection is men's only, I'm afraid

Mariano:

Really! That's a shame. I'm sure his legion f female admirers would like to hit the sidewalk in clothes bearing his name.

Don't worry, he will not keep them waiting for long

Mariano

Hope not, I can hear them clamouring already for his clothes

His underpants?
